ABOUT US!

KRISTIN PIRO

Hi! I’m Kristin, a Jersey girl from the start, who moved to NYC to pursue a career on the stage that had been bubbling inside me since I was 2 years old. I’ve spent the last 20 years working as an artist. 4 Broadway shows, 4 National Tours, countless regional shows, concerts and cruise ships, that make up a career I could not be more fulfilled and proud of! As a dancer, I prefer to express myself through art. I feel the same way about the art in a glass of wine. The palate, the color, the complexity, all express an opinion through the artistry in the bottle.

DAVID R. GORDON

Hi, I’m David! A native of California, I have been living in NYC pursuing professional theatre for 15 years. I have been lucky enough to have performed on iconic stages in 38 states and 36 countries all over the world. As artists, our resumes often highlight “proudest moments”.  For me, when I see them written down on a resume, I see friendships, passion, hard work, laughs over wine, and relationships that have shaped my life. This includes my biggest accomplishment, meeting my (now) wife, Kristin, backstage somewhere in Texas. Hi babe!

 LIFE HAPPENS

Through a pandemic, marriage, family, age, etc., we started to really break down the why, and what we love so much about being artists, including all that comes with it. We realized this topic is one we could talk about forever! The passion, discipline, drive, making people emote, taking them on a journey, sparking ideas and opinions, is the root of what makes artistry so exciting to us. When wine came into the picture, all of these fundamental values seemed to spill over into our rosè filled cup. It quickly revealed itself as an industry that matched our vision.

David has always had a side hustle while pursuing acting. Photography, graphic design, songwriting,  and often times in between gigs he was working in a restaurant. No matter what the restaurant, he was always the first to take an interest in the wine program. He worked alongside top sommeliers in NYC, who very graciously offered their wealth of knowledge of all things wine.

ENTER SONOMA

Our love affair with Sonoma started 6 years ago, when we began coming out here to work at a local theater.

Little did we know that our summers spent singing and dancing under the stars in wine country, would turn into relationships that were unforgettable, the place we would say our I -dos, and the community we would grow to adore. Of course, along with connections and experiences that were invigorating, we became interested in the wine culture! You can’t come to Sonoma and not be intrigued with the many aspects of the wine making process and business. It was easy to enjoy the wine, but we were excited about the “production”! There never seemed to be a “right time” to be away from New York. The pandemic hit, our current shows closed and theater stood still.

At first glance it appeared doors were slammed shut, but to us, a window of opportunity was “uncorked.” David took an internship making wine, and Kristin in a tasting room. We immersed ourselves in every aspect of the wine industry. We did what we do best, we led with passion. In sharing our stories and listening to other’s journeys, we were able to connect with some of the best winemakers and organic farmers in Sonoma. So, during this extended Intermission, emerged a company full of stories, art, passion, and the social glue that brings us together. Wine.
